Teachers are one of our greatest treasures when it comes our kids and when it comes to showing our appreciation, is there a better way than a homemade gift made from the heart?
From my experience, these are the most cherished. How about this year, encourage your child to share his or her adventures in gardening? A basket of fresh fruit or vegetables can do wonders to bring a smile to anyone’s face, not to mention a jar of homemade preserves.
How about a container of dried herbs? Or perhaps a small herb or plant they started from seed? Maybe a dozen seed packets they colored or designed themselves? You can find directions on how to do any of these projects right here on my website. Better yet, come up with some of your own and share them with us and others!
No matter where you live, there’s something your child can find that will make the perfect thank you gift–from the heart, from the home–from the garden! After all, isn’t that what giving is really all about…sharing a meaningful part of you with someone you care about?
We think so.
