a Rafflecopter giveaway

Our favorite gift to give AND receive is Cranberry-Orange Bread.

My daughter bakes loaves of it every year and distributes them to teachers, friends, our mailman, etc. and this sweet treat always brings a smile to their face—and requests for MORE!  Which she’s only happy to oblige.  Cranberries are fresh this time of year and this bread freezes well, so be sure to hit the recipe section for full details.

And then get hopping! You have a “few” more sites to hit. 🙂 Merry Christmas!

WOW!! What a giveaway!!!!! Only sad thing, I am severly allergic to cilantro, but my hubby will be loving it!! He loves to make salsa and this way he can make it with or without.

As far as the “best” gardening thing I’ve ever gotten…that’s hard, cause the one gardening thing I don’t have, but I love trying, is a green thumb! I’ve killed 3 aloe vera plants, several spider plants, and basically every thing else I’ve ever planted. The one thing I keep growing are morning glories and they are suppose to be annuals, but mine come back every year. 🙂

I don’t have much of a green thumb so I don’t receive many garden gifts that require maintenance. But I do have garden decorations I LOVE! Such as my butterfly lights that stick in the ground. They light different colors and add such loveliness to my patio.

    I love Bonsai plants!

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

Great prize. I love to fresh veggies from the garden. My favorite gift from the garden is fresh homegrown tomatoes. I live in the mountains and I just have not been able to grow tomatoes. I love homegrown tomatoes. When I can get my hands on homegrown tomatoes, I canned them and make sauce.

My favorite gardening gift was a set of gardening tools. I gave them to a friend and she really enjoyed them. I really enjoy the holiday season. I enjoy the smells, the food and lights. Oh and the music too. Not much into baking anymore. But I do enjoy tasting, ask my scales. Tee Hee. Great blog.

The best garden gift I have ever received was a jar of chili sauce. The sauce was made with cinnamon sticks which gave it a unique flavor. Delicious 🙂
I use this recipe with tomatoes from our own garden and the sauce is always a hit.

I have to say my favorite garden gift was something my hubby bought me by thinking I would like them and i did… He bought me wildflower seeds when we were dating… I planted them on my parents property in northern wisconsin… Now every spring and summer their front garden is full of black eyed susans, queen anna’s lace and other wild flowers…I went home this summer to help my mom (she was recovering from massive surgery and due to cancer and other medical issues) it was just me and the boys for almost 2 months and when i missed my husband i would look out the window and see all those flowers which even after 13 years still grow… my mom said… you planted them… they are pretty so i just let the grow… Knowing how much they ment to me…Not to mention she also lives in the country on 5 acres surrounded by farm fields.
